Estate Planning is not always on the top of everyone's to-do list and it is not the easiest task to accomplish without trekking into emotional territories. However, it is a very important task to complete to achieve peace of mind that your family is taken care of.

That is why we, at the Law Office of Ishajeet Kakkar, are committed to making this process as easy and pain free as possible. That is why we provide the following options in regards to  best accommodate our clients' needs.

The Three Step Process

Step 1: During the initial contact, you will be provided with a questionnaire. Please review this questionnaire and consolidate any questions you would like addressed for your complimentary initial consultation. In-person initial consultations are recommended, but with living in today’s modern world, phone or video consultations are also an option. You will also receive a flat fee quote at this time.

Step 2: Once you are ready to proceed, you will submit your questionnaire online and schedule your signing appointment. Your Estate Planning documents will be drafted once all required information has been submitted.

Step 3: The signing appointment. At the signing appointment your Estate Plan will be reviewed, executed, and the fees will be collected. You will leave our office with your Estate Planning Portfolio and a sense of relief.

The Modified Process

The Modified Process is for those clients that wish to have multiple meetings outside of the initial consultation.

Step 2: Once you are ready to proceed, you will receive a retainer agreement and instructions on how to deposit your legal fees. You will then be required to submit your questionnaire online and any other required documents.

Step 3: Once all required information has been submitted, your Estate Plan will be drafted. Drafts will then be sent to you for your review or a Draft Review meeting is scheduled for in-person review. Once drafts have been reviewed and finalized, your signing appointment will be scheduled.

Step 4: The signing appointment. At the signing appointment you will execute your Estate Plan. You will leave our office with your Estate Planning Portfolio and a sense of relief.

The Mod-Tech Process

We understand that we live in the technological age and sometimes meeting in person is not always possible. That’s why we are excited to announce the Mod-Tech Process. This process involves the usage of modern technology to establish your Estate Plan. This process was especially designed for clients that are not within traveling distance of the firm's office or unable to travel great distances.

Step 1: During the initial contact, you will be provided with a questionnaire. Please review this questionnaire and consolidate any questions you would like addressed for your complimentary initial consultation via phone or video chat. You will also receive a flat fee quote at this time.

Step 2: Once you are ready to proceed, your attorney will provide you with a retainer agreement and instructions on depositing your legal fees. Your questionnaire must be then submitted online.

Step 3: Once the legal fees are paid and all required information has been submitted, your attorney will draft your Estate Plan and provide you with PDF documents for your review. An over the phone or video chat review of the documents will be done as well.

Step 4: Once the documents have been approved and you have reviewed the documents with your attorney, your Estate Planning Portfolio with your final documents will be mailed to you for execution and notarization. You (and your spouse if you are married) will then take the binder to a Notary Public for notarization.
