#WisdomWednesday: Avoid Conservatorships

Updated: Apr 2, 2019

#WisdomWednesday: In order for your loved ones to be able to make decisions or perform your legal duties on your behalf in the event you are unable to, they must be nominated by you in your Power of Attorney. The Health Care Power of Attorney guides your loved ones in relation to your health care decisions should you be unable to as well as give your nominations the right to make decisions on your behalf. The Financial Power of Attorney allows your nominees to make financial decisions, such as file tax returns and manage finances on your behalf. These documents are used during your lifetime. Without these, your loved ones would have to go to court and have a judge appoint someone on your behalf. All this can be avoided with the proper Powers of Attorney in place.
