Common Mistakes!

Happy Monday everyone! It’s now near the end of the day, but I wanted to remind everyone about some common mistakes that everyone makes in regards to Estate Planning.

The first, most common mistake made by most people: Not having an Estate Plan at all. By not having a plan in place, you are doing more harm than good for you and your loved ones.

The next most common mistake is for those that already have an Estate Plan (GREAT!), but they fail to keep it updated. Like a growing plant that requires attention and maintenance, your Estate Plan requires attention and maintenance when your circumstances change. It’s very important to evaluate your current situation every 4-5 years to ensure your personal and financial affairs are in your control, and not your bickering family or the courts.
