I cannot express the importance of having an Advanced Healthcare Directive/Living Will/Power of Attorney for Healthcare Decisions prepared. In my line of work, I hear horror stories almost everyday. Children wishing they had guidance as to what their parents wanted for their end of life wishes. The terms are used interchangeably, however having a Power of Attorney in place is more beneficial as it allows you to nominate agents. This document is also known as a Living Will.
